I brought them my motorcycle ignition barrel which the key had broken inside of. The broken bit was stuck way in there. They managed to pulled it out and charged me only $22, saving hundreds if I had to replace the whole ignition switch. Didn't catch the name of the bloke at the front desk who did the job, but thanks again for the great service!

When answering the phone, I spoke with Liam the Director. I was thoroughly impressed that he was actually helping out and not just sitting on the sidelines, so it started off as a very pleasant surprise. Liam sat on the phone with me for half an hour explaining all the different types of locks I had and what I could do better to secure my home with cheap to expensive locks options. He went through the pros and cons of each and allowed me to make an informed decision myself rather than pushing stock onto me. Once we came to a conclusion, he sent me out a quotation in which he let me know to call him if I had any questions about it and he or his team would personally explain it further. After having really negative experiences with other locksmiths in the area and being disgustingly ripped off, the price was not only heaps cheaper, but also the service was immaculate. He sent out a locksmith, I wish I knew the same of him, but he was so nice. I live alone as a woman so him being respectful and seemingly understanding of that was so kind. He explained to me in detail what he was doing, and once finished took me around to make sure I was happy with the results and CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF! I was so shocked! He also asked me before doing anything additional that he recommends I have, and again gave me such a thorough explanation as to why they recommend it but didn’t push me into buying it. It was the exact price as quoted, and I will be using them again. I don’t usually do reviews, but as it’s a small company, and Liam sounds quite young, I really wanted to push the respect and knowledge him and his team have. Please consider using them and supporting your small local business. Their work is amazing and I will 100% be using them again.Thanks guys, I really appreciate you!

My previous post was incorrect, and I wish to correct the record for the quality of the locks I had rekeyed.A secondary party confirmed Precision Locksmiths work was correct, and my locks were rekeyed properly; the quality of Precision’s workmanship was excellent, and fault was with the installation conducted by my builder.I stand by my previous comment about Precision’s customer service; the lady I spoke with on the phone was lovely, however the guys in the shop seemed distracted, upset and angry. It was not a positive experience, hence my rating is reflected as four stars.

The dead lock arm (minor internal component) snapped on my front door lock, rendering the entire lock unusable. Having called Precision to ask for their advice they advised that if I was comfortable in removing the lock and bringing it in it would be far cheaper than a call out. Which I did, they even took the time to rectify another issue I encountered (free of charge). This was all done on the same day, no appointment! Highly recommend. Cheers, Matt.

Spotswood Store- Quick key cut and cheap.Had a duplicate motorbike key cut recently for a fraction of the cost I was quoted by Suzuki. Not only was the key cut on the spot, I was told that if for whatever reason it didn't work, to bring it back for a refund.The key works well and for the price (less than $10) it was bargain.

Went to Precision Locksmith a few weeks back to have a Keyable lock looked at as we couldnt get the lock working for our Workplace. I was greeted by Ron, who was super super helpful, so professional and knew excately what was wrong with the lock. Within 5 minutes Ron had the lock spick and span all fixed and ready to use again. Ron even allowed me to leave as the computer was not turned on and called me later to take payment over the phone. Not many business these days trust people but it restored my faith in a business that took my honesty and allowed me to leave . I know where to go for any of our locksmith needs, and these guys were awesome highly recommend, thanks heaps Ron

We had a new digital lock put in by the precision team, they provided great advice regarding the model we should use, patiently explained the pros and cons, then booked the work in a convenient time, the fella who did the work on the day was organised, friendly, did a quality job, cleaned up all the mess and took the time to show me how it all worked; It's shame these guys are just locksmiths as I would use them for loads of other things as well !!!

My visit to Spotswood Precision Locksmith branch restored my faith that old fashioned service where not everything spins around dollar still exists! I Highly recommend Precision for any locksmith related work. Their service is of an excellent standard and their pricing is very fair.I accidentally bent a non-standard key from a unique luggage box and fearing it would break if I attempted to straighten it I took it to SPL for help. What the crew did surprised me to my limits. They also suspected that straightening would break the key so prior to their attempt they have made couple of copies of the key, which I’m surprised they could due to the type of key it is. Original key didn’t survived the operation but now I’m in possession of 2 brand new copies working just fine. This is such a different feeling to the situation from a few months back when I have decide to made a few extra copies of my standard door keys in local Bunnings – had to make 6 trips to the store as previous 5 cuts could not turn the lock.Thanks & regards,Chris

What an amazing team! Precision came and installed a number of 'hold open door closers' at Gateway Church.
